Audit Logs

Updated this week

This guide explains how to access, read, and export your workspace Audit Logs. These logs provide a transparent, immutable record of all actions, ensuring accountability and compliance throughout the certification process.

Prerequisites

  • An active CyberPass account.

  • Access to a specific Workspace (e.g., CP Manufacturer).

Note: The screenshots provided in this article are for demonstrative purposes only and do not represent live production data.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 — Locating Audit Logs

Audit logs are accessible in two primary areas depending on the scope of information you need:

  • Home Section: Located at the bottom of the Home page, this view provides a personal history of actions and login activity for the individual member.

  • Dashboard Section: Located at the bottom of the Dashboard, this view displays the global activity for all members within the selected team workspace.

Step 2 — Understanding Recorded Data

Each log entry captures five essential data points to ensure full traceability:

  • Date: The exact timestamp (MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS) the activity occurred.

  • User: Identifies the person who performed the action and the workspace context.

  • Action: The specific operation performed, such as LOGIN, CREATE, or UPDATE.

  • Resource: The system category affected, such as USER, WORKSPACE, CERTIFICATION, or FILE.

  • Target: The specific item that was changed, such as a filename (e.g., risk_assessment_vacuum_robot.pdf) or a product entry.

Step 3 — Exporting for Review

The CyberPass interface provides a read-only view of these logs. To perform advanced analysis or filtering, you must export the data:

  1. Navigate to the Audit Log section on either the Home or Dashboard pages.

  2. Click the Export button located at the top-right of the log table.

  3. The system will generate an XLSX file containing the log history for external processing.

Key Notes

  • Immutable Records: Audit logs automatically record actions in real-time and cannot be edited or deleted by users.

  • Traceability: The "Target" column often contains links to the specific files or resources involved in the action for quick reference.

  • Role Visibility: While Home logs are exclusive to the member, Dashboard logs allow for complete transparency across the entire team.

Troubleshooting

Issue

Fix

I can't filter logs by date in the app.

CyberPass is currently in view-only mode for logs; please use the Export button to download the XLSX file and filter the data in Excel.

I don't see team actions.

Ensure you are looking at the Dashboard audit log; the Home log is restricted to your individual activity only.

A specific action is missing.

Verify that you have the correct workspace selected in the left sidebar, as logs are dynamically tied to the active workspace.
