This guide walks you through the process of initiating a product evaluation in CyberPass. By following these steps, vendors or manufacturers can efficiently select certification schemes, gather required evidence, and collaborate with accredited labs to achieve security compliance.
Prerequisites
An active CyberPass Manufacturer account.
Access to a Workspace with at least one product already created in the "Products" tab.
Basic product technical details and any existing compliance documentation.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 — Select Your Product
Navigate to the Products section in the left-hand sidebar. Locate the specific product you wish to evaluate and click the Evaluate button in the top right corner of the product detail view.
Step 2 — Choose a Security Certification Scheme
Select the appropriate security framework for your product. Available options (such as ETSI EN 303645, PSTI, or EN 18031) are tailored to your product category.
Step 3 — Select Evaluation Level
Choose between Self Assessment or Lab Assessment.
Self Assessment: An internal tool to evaluate compliance readiness using CyberPass guided tools.
Lab Assessment: Involves an independent third-party evaluation by accredited experts for formal certification.
Step 4 — Streamline with Prefill (Optional)
If you have similar products previously assessed, use the Select Evaluation to Prefill dropdown. This automatically populates fields with existing data, reducing manual entry and ensuring consistency.
Step 5 — Select a Lab and Confirm
For Lab Assessments, select an accredited laboratory (e.g., CyberForce) from the provided list. You must check the box to confirm you agree to the terms and conditions before clicking Submit.
Step 6 — Data Gathering and Submission
You will be redirected to the Product Evaluation dashboard. Complete the required sections, including Setup, Scope, and Evidence. Once all documentation is ready, submit the report to the lab.
Step 7 — Monitoring Progress
The status of your evaluation is visible in the Certifications tab.
ONGOING Status: This indicates that documentation and evidence gathering are currently in progress by the manufacturer or vendor from their workspace (e.g., CP Manufacturer). If a lab attempts to access the evaluation during this stage from their workspace (e.g., CyberForce Lab), they will see a notification stating that the provider evaluation is in progress.
REVIEWING Status: Once the manufacturer submits the final data gathering report, the status changes to REVIEWING. The lab can then actively review and evaluate the submitted documents and compliance evidence. You can learn more on evaluation statuses in this article.
Key Notes
Lab Visibility: The list of available labs is dynamically filtered based on the certification scheme you selected in Step 2.
Status Indicators: ONGOING means the manufacturer is still working; REVIEWING means the lab has taken over for assessment.
Self-Assessment Limit: Choosing a Self-Assessment skips the Lab Selection step, as it is intended for internal readiness only.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Fixes |
The "Evaluate" button is missing or grayed out. | Ensure you have clicked on a specific product from the list first. You cannot start an evaluation from the general dashboard without selecting a target product. |
No Labs appear during the "Select Lab" step. | This may happen if the chosen certification scheme is not supported by any currently integrated labs. Try selecting a different scheme or contact support. |
I can't click the "Submit" button at the end of the setup. | Ensure you have clicked the checkbox to confirm you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions of the testing laboratory and platform. |
The status has not changed to "REVIEWING." | The status only moves from ONGOING to REVIEWING once the final data gathering report is officially submitted to the lab. |
I can't see the "Prefill" options for my product. | The prefill feature requires at least one existing evaluation or a similar product entry to be present in your workspace history. |
