This guide will walk you through the initial activation of your CyberPass account using a One-Time Password (OTP) and the mandatory setup of Passkeys for secure, passwordless future logins.
Prerequisites:
A pre-registered email address (added by CyberPass admin).
Access to the CyberPass app link provided to you in a supported browser (recommended: latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox that support passkeys/WebAuthn).
Access to your registered email address (for the OTP).
Note: The screenshots provided in this article are for demonstrative purposes only and do not represent live production data.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1 — Go to the CyberPass Application
Open your browser and go to the link provided to you.
You will see the CyberPass main page with the “Sign in” section where you can enter your email.
Step 2 — Enter Your Registered Email
In the “Email” field, type the work email address that CyberPass has registered for you.
Click the “Submit Email” or similar button to request a one-time password (OTP).
Step 3 — Retrieve Your One-Time Password (OTP)
Check your inbox for a new email from CyberPass containing a one-time OTP login code.
If you do not see the email, wait a few minutes, then refresh your inbox and make sure to check your spam (or junk) folder.
Step 4 — Log In with the OTP
Return to the CyberPass page where you requested the OTP.
Enter the one-time OTP code exactly as shown in the email and confirm to log in.
After successful verification, you will be logged into CyberPass for the first time and automatically guided to set up a passkey.
Step 5 — Start Passkey Setup (Mandatory)
A passkey is a simple, password-free way to sign in that uses your device’s fingerprint, face, or PIN to securely verify you without typing a password, making logins faster and more phishing-resistant.
A prompt will appear asking you to create or register a passkey for your CyberPass account (the interface may be different, depending on the browser and your password manager configuration).
Select “Continue” or “Set up passkey” to launch your browser’s passkey/WebAuthn dialog.
Step 6 — Choose Where to Store Your Passkey
In the browser dialog, choose how you want to store your passkey, for example:
On this device using built-in security (e.g., device PIN, fingerprint, or face recognition).
In a cross-device passkey solution linked to your platform account (e.g., iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager) if offered.
Confirm your choice and follow the prompts to authenticate (enter PIN, use fingerprint, or face recognition) to finish registration.
Step 7 — Confirm Successful Passkey Registration
After the browser finishes, CyberPass will confirm that your passkey has been created and linked to your account.
The next time you visit CyberPass, you will be able to sign in using your passkey instead of an OTP.
Key Notes:
Passkeys provide phishing-resistant, passwordless authentication and are strongly recommended for securing access to CyberPass.
Passkey setup after the first OTP login is mandatory; you must complete this step before you can continue using the platform.
If you change devices or browsers, you may need to use your stored passkey (via your device or account’s sync) or ask your admin to help you regain access if you can no longer authenticate.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Fix |
I cannot log in; CyberPass tells me my email is not recognized. | Confirm you are using the same work email that CyberPass registered for you. If issue issue persists, contact your organization’s CyberPass admin to verify your email is in the database. |
I did not receive the OTP email. | Check spam/junk folders, ensure your mailbox is reachable and verify that your corporate email system is not blocking external messages. If needed, ask your IT to whitelist CyberPass emails. |
I set up a passkey but cannot log in on a new device. | Ensure that your passkeys are synchronized via your device’s account (e.g., browser sync or platform keychain) and that you are signed into the same account. If your passkey is not available, contact your CyberPass admin to reset your access or provide an alternative onboarding flow. |
The passkey prompt does not appear in my browser. | Update your browser to the latest version and make sure passkeys/WebAuthn are supported and not blocked by enterprise security policies. If still blocked, reach out to your IT or CyberPass admin. |
