Workspaces: Understanding and Managing Your CyberPass Workspaces

Updated over a week ago

This article guides you through the fundamentals of CyberPass Workspaces, explaining what they are, how to begin structuring your compliance activities by adding new workspaces, the Products you manage and the Certifications you pursue.

Prerequisites

  • Active CyberPass account.

  • Access to the CyberPass platform.

  • Basic understanding of your company's team structure and compliance needs (which products require which certifications).

Note: The screenshots provided in this article are for demonstrative purposes only and do not represent live production data.

1 – Viewing and Selecting Workspaces

Workspaces are the containers for your compliance activities, defining your team, your products, and their associated certifications. You can view and switch between your workspaces from the top-left menu.

  • Click the dropdown menu next to the current workspace name in the top-left corner of the navigation bar.

  • You will see a list of all your available workspaces, including your Personal Workspace and any Shared/Team Workspaces (e.g., "CP Manufacturer," "AutoBund Lab", “Cyberforce Lab”, etc).

2 – Understanding Workspace Visibility

Workspaces come in two main types, dictating who can access the contained data:

  • Personal Workspace: Any work done here is private and cannot be shared or viewed by anyone other than the owner or creator of the workspace.

  • Shared/Team Workspaces: These workspaces (e.g., "CP Manufacturer, "CyberForce Lab") can be shared and viewed by invited team members.

3 – Adding a New Workspace

You can expand your compliance environment by adding new workspaces for different teams or projects.

  1. From the workspace dropdown menu (see Step 1), scroll down to the bottom and select + Add Workspace. This opens the Add Workspace form.

  2. You are only required to fill in the Name and Description fields. You may also upload an Avatar,

  3. Once complete, click Save.

Step 4 — Managing Products and Certifications

The core of your compliance work lives in the Products and Certifications tabs on the left-hand sidebar.

A. The Products View

The Products section acts as your inventory of devices requiring assessment.

  • Inventory List: Displays all products associated with the workspace, such as "Smart Soundbase" or "Video Doorbell".

  • Product Details: Shows the assigned evaluator lab (e.g., "CyberPass - Super Lab") and specific product dimensions.

  • Actions: Use the Add Product button in the top-right to register new hardware into the workspace.

B. The Certifications View

The Certifications section tracks the status of evaluation procedures for your products.

  • Evaluation Tracker: Lists ongoing and completed assessments, such as "PowerSync Hub".

  • Progress & Status: Real-time tracking shows the completion percentage (e.g., 100% or 7%) and the current status (e.g., CERTIFIED or ONGOING).

  • Timeline: Displays expiration dates for certified products (e.g., "10/20/2028").

  • Initiate Assessment: Use the Start Evaluation button to begin a new compliance procedure.

Key Notes

  • Workspace Isolation: Products and Certifications are unique to each workspace; ensure you are in the correct environment to see the relevant data.

  • A workspace is defined by the team, the products being assessed, and the required certifications.

  • Your account may be limited to a specific maximum number of workspaces (e.g., 1/10) based on your subscription or role.

Troubleshooting

Issue

Fix

I don't see my product in the list.

Check the currently selected workspace. If the product belongs to a different team's workspace, switch to that workspace using the dropdown menu in the top-left corner. Also, make sure you’re not in your Personal Workspace instead of a Team Workspace.

I can't share my work with a colleague.

If you are in your Personal Workspace, your work is private. You must create or switch to a Team Workspace (like "CP Manufacturer" or "CyberPass Admins") to share information.
